1. What does ‘mobile’ detailing mean?
It means that we can detail any vehicle or vessel on-site from the convenience of your home, office, marina or commuter parking lot.
2. How often should I have my car detailed?

It depends on your vehicle’s exterior color and the climate that that it is being driven in. Darker colors generally need more attention. As far as climate goes…New England weather really takes a toll on vehicles.

We recommend that a vehicle be properly and thoroughly cleaned with a complete detail every 4-6 months. Your car should also receive a waxing every 1-2 months. All vehicles should be hand washed approximately 2-3 times a month if possible.

3. How long does a detailing take?
It depends on the services involved. An express detail takes just an hour while a complete detailing takes about three hours.
4. Do you offer multi-car discounts?
Yes, we offer discounts for 3 or more vehicles as well as bi-monthly, monthly and quarterly maintenance packages.
5. Is there a fixed price?
We charge a ‘soft’ price unless there is excessive wear and tear on a vehicle that requires additional attention. Topside will inform you of any additional service recommendations before they are rendered.
6. What areas do you cover?
Our auto services cover the state of Connecticut as well as Westchester County, NY. Our mobile marine detailing units service the coasts of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island.
7. Why do you have a DEP permit?
Our DEP permit allows Topside to properly handle, collect and dispose of vehicle maintenance wastewater (Permit # GVM001161.).
8. How are you environmentally safe?

Our waterless car wash allows us to detail any vehicle using less than a cup of water! This saves over 100 gallons of water per wash and leaves no mess behind!

We use 100% environmentally friendly cleaning products.

We also use a state-of-the-art wastewater reclaim system that ensures that any hazardous vehicle and marine wastewaters are collected and properly treated before returning to our waterways.
